Publication design for the MSU African Studies Center

In 2014, I designed the full visual identity and layout for a 42-page brochure published by Kongamano, a collaborative group of student organizations affiliated with the African Studies Center at Michigan State University. Titled “The Africa I’ve Lived,” the publication featured a compilation of essays and poetry from MSU students, faculty, and alumni, exploring themes of social justice, identity, and global solidarity. Proceeds supported Vumundzuku-bya Vana: Our Children’s Future (VVOCF), an orphan care center in Zonkizizwe, South Africa.

I handled the layout design, typography, and overall visual direction to create a cohesive and impactful presentation of the written work.
